Financial Analyst

This role can be performed remotely anywhere within the United States.

To achieve our ambitious goals, Fullstory is looking for a Financial Analyst to help build and support end-to-end processes for dynamic financial planning, forecasting and analytics. The responsibilities of this role will include a healthy mix of core FP&A process flows and reporting as well as driving and supporting strategic initiatives. This is a high visibility, high impact role that will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive favorable business outcomes. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrates raw potential for future growth.

In a typical day, you might:

  • Proactively identify, lead and/or support initiatives to continuously improve, automate, and scale financial modeling and reporting tools, processes, and methodologies.

  • Partner closely with the Sr. Manager of Corporate FP&A to prepare, present and continually improve the quality and speed to deliver our core reporting deliverables.

  • Work cross-functionally to synthesize data inputs, perspectives, and business objectives to model financial outcomes, risks and opportunities.

  • Support all financial planning processes related to budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning.

  • Serve as a steward of our financial planning tool, Anaplan, including day-to-day management and longer-term system improvements. Assist with building, updating and maintaining reports and forecasting modules within the system.

Here's what we're looking for:

  • 2+ years of experience in a relevant field including but not limited to: FP&A, banking, accounting or consulting with a strong understanding of financial statement best practices.

  • Adept at learning new systems quickly; prior experience with SQL and data visualization tools (Tableau, Looker) or willing to learn.

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills with a demonstrated ability to problem solve both individually and within a team.

  • Strong attention to detail, a drive for continuous improvement and excellent time-management skills will be critical for success in this role.

  • Appreciation for iterative processes and open to constantly incorporating feedback and changes.

The impact you will have in 6 months:

  • Possess strong working knowledge of our specific use case for Anaplan (financial planning software) after obtaining Model Builder Level 1 and 2 certifications within the first 90 days of employment.

  • Actively identifying areas for improvement within our reporting, planning and forecasting processes and making recommendations on how to address observed gaps.

The impact you will have in 12 months:

  • Leading and/or supporting a wide range of reporting and process flows resulting in measurable improvements in the quality, accuracy and timeliness of FP&A deliverables.

  • Expert knowledge of all “source of truth” data that feeds into FP&A reporting (Anaplan, Looker, NetSuite, CaptivateIQ, etc.).
